We want your shopping experience with us to be a dream as sweet as our products. So, we've put together some of the questions we get asked most frequently, and answered them with a swish of our (chocolate) wand.

How long do your truffles keep?

Our truffles are made with fresh cream so you might expect to have to eat them within a few days. But, while we don’t use any artificial preservatives, our special technique stabilises the cream, giving our truffles a much longer shelf life. We recommend eating them within four weeks to enjoy them at their absolute best but, they will last much longer if properly stored. The Truffle Witch herself has eaten truffles that were over six months old and they still tasted good. We’re pretty confident that you’ll eat all yours way before that! How long do the chocolate shoes keep?

The chocolate we use has a shelf life that’s at least six months to year ahead. We know the finished shoes (or handbags) will last for ages but, we give them a short ‘best before’ date (around six months) because we want that chocolate to taste every bit as delicious as it did when the shoe was made. Can I store your products in the fridge?

It’s better to store your chocolate in a cool place. Domestic fridges have a high humidity level that’s not ideal for chocolate. Moisture and rapid changes in temperature can cause damage to even the most perfectly tempered chocolate, making it go sticky or ‘bloom’ (go white). Blooming is often mistaken for mould - it isn’t. What if my order is damaged in the post?

We want you to enjoy our creations at their very best. So, just send us a photo of the damaged item and we’ll send you a replacement or issue a full refund. We won’t ask you to return the item.

Aren’t your products a bit expensive?

All our products are handmade to order using high quality ingredients. We don’t use any machinery - everything really is done by hand and that takes a lot of time and effort. We use as much sustainably sourced chocolate as we can and our packaging is eco-friendly. We think that’s worth paying a little more for.
