Wedding Favours

Favours are a popular way to say thank you to your guests for supporting you and helping to make your wedding day special. Sadly, all too often, these little tokens get left on the table to be thrown away. Wedding planners will often advise couples to shave their costs and ditch the favours for exactly this reason. If you’re going to spend the money, make your favours practical gifts that your guests can use later or edible ones.

The traditional edible wedding favour is sugared, or Jordan, almonds. It’s a tradition that started in Italy where they are handed out to guests wrapped in tulle - five almonds for five wishes for the happy couple. The bitterness of the almonds combined with the sweet sugar coating represents the ups and downs of life. A nice idea but, they maybe the one edible favour that gets wasted as a lot of people don’t like them or won’t eat them for fear of damaging their teeth on the hard coating. The last thing you want is Granny breaking her dentures! Chocolate is a no brainer. Your guests can enjoy it at the reception or later and, even if they don’t like chocolate themselves, they’re bound to know someone who does!

Truffles and Chocolates ……

If you want to keep it simple and give your guests a single truffle in box, we have 36 flavours you can choose from. Plus there are our gin chocolates, marzipan, pralines and caramels. As our service is bespoke, we can adapt any of our flavours and finishes at your request. Want our lemon truffle but without the nutty coating? We can do that. …… in Little Boxes

We can source cute and pretty little boxes in a variety of styles and colours, as well as ribbons and foils to suit your theme. Boxes also come in two and four truffle sizes. Three truffles can be packed in clear boxes. If you’re having a Christmas wedding we can supply patterned or plain cracker style boxes and seasonally patterned foils. Alternatively, we can supply the truffles for you to put in your own packaging.

Elegant Pistoles

These can be made from any chocolate including single origin, 90% cocoa, ruby and amber. Leave them simple or have them flavoured. The pistoles in the photo are 72% Venezuelan single origin chocolate flavoured with lemon and bergamot. We can decorate them to fit with most colour schemes. Gift them in little organza bags or serve them on pretty plates at the end of the wedding breakfast with coffee and liqueurs. They make excellent after dinner mints.

Chocolate Shot Glasses

Continuing the after dinner theme, these chocolate shot glasses are sure to go down well. Like our other solid chocolate items, you can choose any chocolate. We put them in individual clear bags, tied with ribbon to match your colour scheme. Your guests can use them at the reception or take them home to enjoy later.

Chocolate Lollipops and Figures

These chocolate Cupids can be made from any chocolate and flavoured if so desired. Have them as lollipops with a stick or just as figures. The photo shows milk chocolate cupids decorated with gold but, we offer other lustre dust colours, including silver, if you prefer. We can also make chocolate hearts or, if you want something a bit more alternative, how about chocolate frogs or a bag of chocolate worms?

Chocolate Skulls …..

If you’re planning a Gothic wedding these little skulls would be perfect. They can be made from solid chocolate or filled with truffle ganache or fondant. The skulls in the photo are white chocolate with a solid milk chocolate centre. You could also have them decorated with lustre dust. The skulls fit nicely into our single truffle boxes. How stunning would a black box tied with a red ribbon look?
